Psychospiritual & Holistic Coaching
Meet Alaric

Rev. Alaric Hutchinson is a modern monk, psychospiritual coach, and founder of The Inner Peace Rebellion. Since 2010, he has worked at the intersection of mental health, spiritual care, and personal liberation — blending Eastern philosophy with modern psychology to guide others toward real, embodied healing.
His integrative approach to psychospiritual therapy is introduced in his 2024 book, Heart of Humanity, and is rooted in over a decade of experience teaching, coaching, and supporting transformation across diverse communities. Alaric is currently completing his Master of Social Work degree to become a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and psychotherapist — bringing the heart of spiritual practice into the rigor of clinical care.

A Bit of History
Alaric opened his first healing center — Earth Spirit Center for Healing — in 2010 in Arizona. The space featured a bookshop, multiple practitioner rooms, and two larger studios for classes, events, and weekly services. Over the next eight years, Alaric honed his voice as a speaker, teacher, and 1:1 guide — serving as an interfaith pastor while weaving together wisdom traditions and mental health support in a way that felt both mystical and deeply human.
In 2014, he published his first book, Living Peace, which laid the groundwork for what would become the Dunisha approach to psychospiritual transformation. As his work matured, Alaric relocated to Colorado and opened Earth Spirit Lodge, a quiet mountain retreat. Though the lodge thrived, he came to realize that his true calling wasn't isolation — it was connection. He felt most alive where healing could happen face-to-face, in the messy, beautiful space of community.
That clarity led him back to academia, where he now completes his graduate studies in social work while continuing to write, speak, and teach Dunisha worldwide.
The Zen Cowboy
Outside of his healing work, Alaric embraces the moniker The Zen Cowboy — a nod to his love of paradox and his weekly teaching of country line and swing dancing at the local honky-tonk. He also formerly served as president of the Bayfield Chamber of Commerce, embodying his belief that spirituality isn’t about escaping the world — it’s about showing up fully in it.
